Witherite - Haggs Mine
When I discovered this locality, I described these as 'phantasmagorical' - incredible etched hexagonal prisms of witherite in jumbled groups - unique in the mineral world. From the Admiralty Flats area of the Second Sun vein in Nentsberry Haggs mine, deep within the Alston Moor mining district. This is a superb minature from the locality - one of the best. It's been in my collection for years.
