Superb 3-dimensional 'funky' fluorite
Greenlaws Mine, East Vein flats, Daddry Shield, Weardale.
A superb 3-dimensional specimen which shows larger yellow xls which originally formed on the wall of the cavity and then fell into mineralising fluids, where a new generation of cranberry coloured crystals grew on the reverse. It sits beautifully for display and shows good daylight fluorescence. The specimen is much better in hand than in photos, where it is hard to convey the 3 dimensionality. An early piece from the main flats.
